Hi people,

I`m Drago Baotic,Berlin, and I`ve tested the tube preamp/leveller now for a while, and what can I say, I really became a huge fan of this masterpiece gear ! It`s built very solidly, works fine, 4 military tubes !!!
The sound is amazing, I get so much pressure on vocals, bass or guitars with this preamp, it`s unbelievable. The low end is very defined and strong, while the high frequencies shine glimmering.The overall sound is so much present, which you normally only get with very expensive gear.
I`ve been recording now for about 10 years, I compose/produce music for tv and cinema commercials, so I think that I have enough experience to say what I`m saying.

I`ve done some tests and compared the Handcrafted Preamp with the SPL Channel One and with the Quad/Octamic preamps from my RME Fireface 800.

-The bass is an acoustic bass from Johnson (very cheap,but very, very good).I amplified it with preamp/leveller “Solution”.Gain was turned up to 10 and some more compression.

-Mixing and mastering is all digitally done, I used compression, reverb and EQ from my TC Electronic Powercore Card.

Vocals are recorded with Joemeek JM47 condenser microphone through preamp/leveller “Solution”.I turned gain up to 7 and used just a little, smooth compression.

-The guitar (different takes) is my Fender Strat from 1963 played into my Marshall JMP 50(1979,with Master Volume).Also some pedals:Vox Wah,Boss Blues Driver,Line 6 Delay Modeller.Cabinet:2x12"Celestion Green Caps”.I recorded with Rode NT1 microphonethrough preamp/leveller “Solution”,no compression.
